Apa is back and so is the Salt Lake Tribune's base camp blog.
Plans to run a blog on Apa's 18th attempt last year were thwarted by the Chinese and the mandatory internet blackout.
With the help of Dawa Steven Sherpa of the Eco Everest Expedition the Tribune will provide at least daily blogs with pictures and video when possible during the two months that Apa will be in Nepal for his bid to make his record 19 trips to the top of the world. Dawa Steven plans on providing constant communication when Apa makes the final push to the top sometime in May. Until then, enjoy the trek to base camp and the ensuing activities of the Eco Everest Expedition through the eyes of Dawa Steven and Apa.
