Base Camp Blog
5/19/2007 7:44:50 AM -- LEAVING BASE CAMP
Well, today is our last day as we are packing up base camp. Just to give you all an idea, we have 20 yaks and 14 porters to carry out all of the supplies needed in this SuperSherpas Expedition.
I would like to thank each and everyone of our team members, from the climbers Apa and Lhakpa to our support Sherpas: Ang Passang Sherpa, Arita Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa, PembaGylzen, Dawa Sherpa (cameraman), Pemba Ringee (cameraman), and all our kitchen staff.
The true success is shown in how this team has worked together from the beginning and the personal sacrifice made by all to make this happen.
Currently base camp is being disassembled by staff and climbers alike. We all are looking forward to coming home soon to our families and friends.
